We're so excited to welcome you into our Carter Basset family! Below begins the process to reserve your puppy. Please read every step carefully before reaching out.
Our puppies are $2,200 as pets with a spay/neuter agreement. Full AKC registration is available for approved breeding homes by prior arrangement.
We are located in Wylie, Texas, USA — just outside Dallas. Pickup is at our home, and we also offer flight nanny and ground transport for families who cannot make the trip.

For the safety of our family and our hounds, we cannot allow open kennel visits. However, I am happy to video call you so you can see exactly how and where your puppy has been raised — just ask!
Picking is at 6 weeks. You may pick earlier if the families ahead of you have already chosen, but by 6 weeks everyone must have selected their puppy. Puppies go home at 8–10 weeks of age.

FIRST — Read our Puppy Contract so you fully understand our policies, health guarantee, and expectations before applying.
Within a few days of receiving your application, I will contact you by text message to set up a phone interview appointment. This gives us the chance to get to know each other and discuss your goals, your home, and what you're hoping for in your new puppy.
This is also your opportunity to ask me anything — there are no bad questions when it comes to welcoming a new family member.

Per the contract, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. The deposit is deducted from the total purchase price of your puppy at pickup.
We accept: Zelle, CashApp, Chime, Apple Pay, Gift Cards, and Cash.
Puppy picking begins at 6 weeks of age. You may be invited to choose earlier if the families ahead of you in line have already made their selection — but by 6 weeks, every family on the waitlist must have chosen their puppy.
I always reserve the right to hold back a puppy from any litter that I feel is particularly exceptional for our breeding program. These "keeper" evaluations may extend beyond 6 weeks.
From the day your deposit is placed, you will receive weekly photo and video updates of your puppy growing up. You'll feel like you already know them before they come home!
There are two options for getting your puppy home:
Your puppy flies in-cabin with a professional pet nanny who stays by their side the entire flight. This service is available to most major US cities. Fees typically range between $400–$700 depending on destination. Contact us for current availability and pricing.
You're welcome to come to Wylie, Texas to pick up your puppy in person. This is our preferred option — you get to meet us, see our home, and make those first memories with your new family member right here. Wylie is just 25 miles northeast of Dallas.
Before your puppy comes home, make sure you have everything in place to make their transition as smooth and comfortable as possible.
